# Cheaster - Chess 6x6 without knights

## ♟️ What is Cheaster?

Cheaster is a small, fast chess variant played on a **6×6 board with no knights**. Each side has a king, a queen, two rooks, two bishops and six pawns. Play against the computer in your browser, or challenge a friend online at izarren.top.

## 📋 Rules

- Pieces move as in normal chess, but there are no knights

- Pawns move **one square** (no double step) and capture diagonally

- Pawns promote to queen, rook or bishop

- No castling and no en passant

- You cannot leave your king in check; **checkmate** wins the game

- Draws: stalemate, threefold repetition, insufficient material (lone king, or king and bishop against king) and 50 moves without a pawn move or capture

## ♟️ ¿Qué es Cheaster?

Cheaster es una variante de ajedrez pequeña y rápida, en un **tablero de 6×6 y sin caballos**. Cada bando tiene un rey, una dama, dos torres, dos alfiles y seis peones. Juega contra la IA directamente en el navegador, o reta a un amigo online en izarren.top.

## ✨ Características

- 🤖 **Juega contra la IA** en tres niveles: Fácil, Medio y Difícil

- ↶ **Deshacer** jugadas

- 📜 **Lista de jugadas** y coordenadas en el tablero

## 📋 Reglas

- Las piezas se mueven como en el ajedrez normal, pero no hay caballos

- El peón avanza **una casilla** (sin salida doble) y captura en diagonal

- El peón corona en dama, torre o alfil

- No hay enroque ni captura al paso

- No se puede dejar al propio rey en jaque; gana quien da **jaque mate**

- Tablas: rey ahogado, triple repetición, material insuficiente (rey solo, o rey y alfil contra rey) y 50 jugadas sin mover peón ni capturar
